Are you interested in hosting a Sleep Out to raise money for Changing Lives?
It does not reflect the ongoing reality. The uncertainty. The lack of safety. The impact over time.
But it creates a moment to stop and think differently.
Right now, nearly 300,000 households in England are living through the worst forms of homelessness. Rough sleeping is only one part of it. Temporary accommodation. Sofa surfing. Living somewhere unsafe.
Taking part in a sleep out is a way to recognise that, and to take action. Every pound you raise supports Changing Lives teams working across England, supporting people to move forward with their lives.
Choose a private, controlled space such as a workplace, school, or community setting. Avoid public areas where you cannot manage risk.
Pick a date that works for your group and gives you time to organise properly.
Set a clear goal from the start. Create an online fundraising page and share it early. Let people know why this matters to you and what their support will do.
Focus on the experience but keep perspective. This is not about recreating homelessness. It is about recognising it and connecting your effort to people living through it every day.
Make sure everyone stays safe and knows what to expect. Take time to talk about why you chose to do this and what the fundraising supports.
Send us any photographs from the evening so we can shout about your fundraising on our social media!
