Changing Lives for over 55 years
We began in 1970 as a group who saw others sleeping rough and decided to do something about it. More than 55 years on, that same belief still drives everything we do. Today we support people across England facing homelessness and the complex challenges that often come with it.
We know that homelessness is rarely just about housing. It is shaped by poverty, trauma, poor health, abuse, addiction, and a lack of opportunity.
We work with people for as long as it takes, not for as long as a service allows: weeks of emergency housing, or years rebuilding a life afterwards. It’s the belief behind the 260,000 support activities we delivered last year, and why 9 in 10 of the people we support would recommend us. Everyone deserves a safe and fulfilling life, not just a bed for the night.
