We’d love to work with you

Co-Production

Co-production is at the heart of how we work. We identify needs through peer research, develop services alongside the people who will use them, and deliver interventions shaped by lived experience at every stage. The people we support aren’t passive recipients of a service we’ve designed for them. They’re active participants in shaping it.

One in five of our staff joined Changing Lives having previously used services like ours. That lived experience isn’t incidental to how we work. It’s central to it. It means the people we employ understand the people we support in ways that no amount of training alone can replicate

Working with Grant Funders

Grant funding plays a vital role in allowing us to reach people who fall outside statutory provision, develop innovative ways of working, and test new approaches to persistent challenges.

Some of our most significant developments as an organisation have been made possible because a funder believed in what we were trying to do before we could prove it at scale. We work with funders to develop services that are grounded in evidence, shaped by the people they’re designed to help, and built to last beyond the initial funding period. If your organisation supports work in any of the areas we operate in, we’d welcome the opportunity to talk about what we’re working on and where there might be a fit.

Working with commissioners

We've been delivering public sector services for over 55 years. That experience means we understand not just the people we support, but the pressures commissioners face: tightening budgets, rising demand, and the need to demonstrate real outcomes, not just activity.

We work with local authorities, probation services, NHS trusts, police and crime commissioners, grant-making bodies and more. Whatever the service area, the approach is the same: listen carefully to what's needed, build services around the people who use them, and measure what actually matters.

We're transparent with commissioners. We report clearly on outcomes, maintain open dialogue throughout, and work collaboratively to build on what's working and strengthen what could work better. Long-standing contracts across multiple regions reflect the trust commissioners place in us, and our commitment to earning it every time.

Our services span housing and accommodation, criminal justice, domestic abuse, employment, recovery, and women's services. We've built that breadth deliberately, because the people we support rarely fit neatly into one service category. We follow the person, not the referral pathway.

Our Expertise

Our approach is built on over 55 years of frontline experience and a genuine commitment to understanding what works. We draw on the knowledge of our teams, the voices of the people we support, and sector-wide evidence to inform how we deliver services and develop new ones. You can find our published reports and consultation responses on our research and expertise page.
