October 2024

To mark World Menopause Day, we are proud to announce we have signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge.

We know that many people going through Menopause or Perimenopause feel forced to reduce their hours, pass up promotions, or even leave their jobs due to a lack of menopause support.

We've signed the pledge to show our commitment to supporting our staff all year round.

Our Chair of Trustees Glynis Frew said:

"A study by Bupa UK revealed that nearly a third of working women between 50 and 64 feel there is a lack of understanding about menopause in the workplace. Within Changing Lives this accounts for 53% of our workforce. Retaining the experience and skills of those experiencing menopause and perimenopause is important to us, so helping both men and women to understand the effects and how we can all help is of tremendous importance for the work we do and something we can all be proud of."
