Sleep out for Changing Lives
Are you interested in hosting a sleepout to raise money for Changing Lives?
Doing a sleep out isn’t meant to replicate the experience of people who are experiencing homelessness. Instead, it's intended to raise awareness of the support we provide and raise vital funds for our homeless services.
We have put together some tips and information to help you organise your sleepout:
How do I host my own sleep out?
- Decide who you will organise your sleep out with. You can do a sleep out with your community group, your colleagues or with family and friends. You can choose your own date and fundraising target.
- Let us know. We’d love to know what you're planning and we're here to help with lots of organising and fundraising tips. We can send resources to help you with your fundraising.
- Pick a date and a location. You can chose your date and location but have a look at our advice on where to sleepout safely in our information pack.
- Spread the word and start Fundraising. Tell people about your Sleep Out and make sure to share with your local networks and on social media! Create your fundraising page on Just Giving and we'll send you tips and resources to help you make a success of your fundraiser. Don’t forget to fundraise on the night as well as getting sponsorship beforehand, or you could ask for a donation to take part in the night!
- Sleep Out! Bed down for an uncomfortable, but meaningful night and help us to say goodnight to youth homelessness.
We’ve put together an information pack, which is packed with useful information to help with your sleep out event.
