Gateshead SCYP
Housing and Homelessness Services
Introduction to Service
Changing Lives provide high quality floating support to Separated Children and Young People living in the Gateshead area and under the care of Gateshead Council.
The Gateshead SCYP service supports young people, aged 16 and 17, up to their eighteenth birthday, to integrate into the local community and access services that can meet their cultural and independent needs including education and employment and health care needs.
Staff work in a person-centred, trauma-focussed way to ensure that the young people do not face more trauma when settling into their local communities.
This service is registered with Ofsted as part of ‘Changing Lives’ Young People’s Service’.
